Adult, U13/14, JV & Varsity League Rules
Number of players

Play is 9v9 (8 field players +1 goalkeeper) for all age groups.

Unlimited substitutions will be permitted. Substitutions may me be made during any stoppage in play at the discretion of the referee.
Equipment

All players must wear shin guards- a player not wearing shin guards must be subbed off the field until they are fully in place. The team may have to play down if a substitute is not available.

Soccer cleats, indoor soccer shoes, or athletic shoes may be worn
on the turf. -
Home team should wear LIGHT jersey color. Away team should wear DARK jersey color.

A standard size 5 ball will be used in matches.
Length of Game

Games will be comprised of two 25 minute halves, with a short
halftime.
Co-ed League
Each team must have one female player on the field at all times to make the game co-ed.
Rules of Play

FIFA rules apply with the following modifications:

No offsides.

If the ball hits the ceiling, a free kick is awarded to the opposing team.

Goalkeepers may not punt the ball. If they do, the opposing team will be given an indirect free kick at the top of the penalty area (box).

If the ball hits the wire (but not the ceiling), possession is returned to the last player with the ball. This is similar to if the ball would hit the referee.

To ensure all games start in a timely manner, the clock will run from the allotted kickoff time. No extra time will be added.

Teams must have an adult over 18 years of age on the sideline at all times to serve as team Coach. This Coach is responsible for the behavior of their players and spectators at all times while on the field and in the building. Matches will not start until a Coach is available.

Unlimited roster- players must be listed on the team roster in Playmetrics.

There will be one referee assigned per game. Referees should be treated with respect at all times.

Substitutions permitted at stoppages per referee’s discretion. It is recommended that substitutes stand at the halfway line on one side of the field until they are waived on.

Players and Team staff must display good sportsmanship.

Taunting, foul language, and physical altercations are not permitted.

Should a player or team member be ejected from the game, they will be ineligible to play the remainder of that game and any other game scheduled for that day. There will be a minimum of a one game ban; additional action may be implemented at the league’s discretion upon review of the incident by the league director and referee assignor.

Poor sportsmanship should never spill over to social media. Players making the choice to taunt, threaten or otherwise treat opposing players disrespectfully via social media at any time with reference to their match may also face league suspension.
